Training excellence

The Association plays a major role in helping to make training as successful as possible by solving any issues of concern that can arise on behalf of their members for the whole Ireland.

Our mission is to support fully licenced trainers by addressing their concerns and collaborating with industry stakeholders.

We play a major role in the progress of Irish Racing and have set up excellent communication procedures with all Stakeholders within the Irish racing industry. We keep all our members up to date with Industry updates and information in real time with our Website, WhatsApp group, email with our Fortnightly News Bulletin.

 

The Irish Racehorse Trainers’ Association Benevolent Fund operated by IRTA appointed trustees was established to help trainers and their families who come on hard times.

The Association generously contribute annually to RACE, Irish Horse Welfare Trust, Stable Staff Pension Scheme and Blue Cross Horse Ambulance.

We also offer expert advice through professional advisors on Employer/Employee relations, WRC (Workplace Relations Commission), Health & Safety, Work Permits issues, and Insurance – personal and commercial.

The I.R.T.A. is represented on the following bodies: Horse Racing Ireland, European Trainers Federation, R.A.C.E., Stable Employees’ Pension Plan and some Irish Racecourse.
